The City of Aurora has its industrial centers in its northern Adams County side, along the I-70 corridor near the new Denver International Airport. Here in north Aurora, also called "Old Aurora," homes are among Adams County's least expensive, averaging from the low to mid $100's.

South Aurora lies in Arapahoe County. This is where the bulk of the city's office and research and development centers are found. It's also where the homes are higher priced, ranging from $85,000 to $650,000 and averaging $195,000. A typical, moderately priced Aurora development is Tollgate, where the homes are new, the neighborhood is clean, and the lawns are well-manicured. The area is close to the Denver Tech Center business area on the south and is well-connected north/south by I-225 to both I-70 and I-25.

The city is served by two school districts, Aurora Public Schools, and Cherry Creek Schools recognized as the best in the region. Getting around is easy from Aurora. I-70 offers direct access to downtown. E-470 and Pena Boulevard offer direct access to Denver International Airport.
The city is also a very convenient community with shopping never more than a ten minute drive. Aurora also has a strong economic base with hi-tech, research and development, and light manufacturing job opportunities. The city is also the new site of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center located in the former Fitzsimmons Army Hospital.
