Cherry Hills Country Club
Englewood, CO (Arapahoe County)
Information produced by Cherry Hills Country Club & HotSpot Real Estate

Cherry Hills Country Club is an exclusive private golf club community in Englewood, CO or Cherry Hills Village, CO. Located between downtown Denver and the Denver Technological Center. It maintains a rural atmosphere and high quality of life in the city. There are no commercial areas in Cherry Hills Village. According to a recent census, Cherry Hills Village was ranked the 9th richest community in America with a per capita income of $99,996. It was also ranked #50 in Worth Magazines list of 250 richest towns in June of 2001. It is located in the Southeastern Section of the Denver Metro area in Arapahoe County. It is home to many of the city's most luxurious residential properties, with most located on one to two-and-a-half acre sites. An extensive multi-use trail system connects the community to adjacent villages and other regional trails.

The Golf Club is private and membership is restricted. The club has an eighteen hole regulation course and a nine hole par 3 course. The Eighteen Hole Course features a traditional design highlighted by small, fast greens and many trees lining its fairways. Not only is hole #18 the signature hole, but locals consider this 491-yard, par 5, as the most difficult hole on the course. The 1938, 1960, and 1978 U.S. Opens were held on the Eighteen Hole Course. In 1960, Arnold Palmer drove the 404-yard first hole on his way to victory and there is a commemorative plaque to remind players of that accomplishment. "Golf Digest" rated this course 31st best out of "America's 100 Greatest Courses" for the years 1995 through 1998, and also rated it as the "Best in State" course for the same time frame. In addition, "GOLF Magazine" awarded it 37th among the "Top 100 Courses in the U.S." for 1995, 41st in 1997 and 47th in 1999. "GOLFWEEK" ranked it 31st among "America's 100 Best Classical Courses" for 1997, 52nd in 1998 and 66th in 1999. The nine hole par 3 course is known as the Rip Arnold Course. This course features sand bunkers surrounding every one of its undulating greens. The nine hole course is free of charge for all club members and their guests.

Homes on or near the country club sell up to and over $10,000,000, but the primary range is between $2,000,000 and $3,000,000 in the Village.
This is a resale community, no new home construction is currently available, but newer resale homes exist.
