The newly
incorporated Centennial lies in unincorporated Arapahoe
County east, west and north of Centennial Airport. It includes the Denver Tech Center.
Home prices here tend to be skewed rather dramatically upward by prestige pockets such as
Cherry Hills Village, one of Greater Denver's most upscale communities with residences
averaging $1.5 million and ranging from $400,000 to $3.5 million. Cherry Hills Village,
for example, has virtually no commercial base, and the only nonresidential features are
two private schools and the Cherry Hills and Glenmoor country clubs. Greenwood Village,
just south of Cherry Hills, wrapping under the Denver Tech Center and up its eastern side,
is another highly desired living area with distinctive custom homes. Many are on large
lots and are tucked away from the street
