| Roughly defined, the area includes those homes between 3rd
Avenue and Colfax, and Colorado Boulevard and York Streets.
It is a diverse area with homes generally ranging in price anywhere from
$250,000 to over $1,000,000.
In 1994, a portion of the neighborhood including the 600 and 700 blocks of 7th
Avenue Parkway East to Steele Street was designated as a historic district, as well as the
Parkway itself, to Colorado Boulevard.
Two other small historic districts contained in the area are Stevens School
Complex on the 1100 block of Columbine, and Snells Subdivision, which includes
Colfax A & B Place off of the 1400 block of Cook Street. The area is an
eclectic mix of older residents, some of whom have lived here over 40 years, and young
professional people drawn to the area because they appreciate the style, charm, and the
convenience of being close to Cherry Creek shopping, downtown, LoDo, numerous parks and
recreational facilities.
