The city of
Morrison is Tucked unto the foothills, located 15 miles southwest of Denver. In Morrison
is the famous "Red Rocks" amphitheater built by the town's namesake, George
Morrison in 1860. The famous amphitheater began as a stone quarry. The native sandstone is
of great quality and much of it was used during the 1900's to build the beautiful red rock
homes in Denver. Today as an amphitheater the stage welcomes world famous entertainers and
the Colorado Symphony. In the easternmost area of Morrison are the foothills overlooking
the Denver metroplex. Homeowners wanting a significant view choose homes here. Other
mountain communities of Morrison have homes ranging from summer cabins to log homes with
million dollar views.
